Solution:

According to the question,

\;\text " Marked price "\;=\;{\;\text " Selling Price "\; × 100}/{(100-\;\text " Discount "\;)}

\;\; =\;{425 × 100}/{(100-15)}=\;{425 × 100}/{85}=₹ 500

If discount is not given, profit

\%=25 \%

∴

Cost price

\;\; =\;{\;\text " Marked / Selling Price "\; × 100}/{(100+\;\text " Profit "\;)}

\;\; =\;{500 × 100}/{(100+25)}

\;\; =\;{50000}/{125}=₹ 400
