In the given figure, ∠QRN = 40°, ∠PQR = 46° and MN is a tangent at R. What is the value (in degree) of x, y and z. respectively?

Solution:

According to the question,
∠QRN = 40°
⇒ ∠RPQ = ∠QRN
∴ x = 40°
∠PQR =46°
∵ ∠MRP = ∠PQR

∴

y = 46°

and

z = 180° - 40°- 46° = 94°
