Swami Vivekananda delivered his first speech in the World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago (USA) on September 11, 1893. In this conference, he introduced Hinduism to America and called for religious tolerance and an end to fanaticism. He is remembered for introducing philosophies such as Vedanta and Yoga to the West.
