Belarusian coach Nikolai Snesarev was appointed as middle-and Iong-distance coach of Indian athletics team in January $2021.$ He has been associated with Indian athletics since his first engagement in 2005 and has coached a number of other Indian athletics like Preeja Sreedharan and Kavita Raut. He passed away in March $2021.$
