45 men or 60 boys can do a piece of work in 20 days. How many days will 15 men and 20 boys take to complete the work ?

Solution:

According to the question,
45 men = 60 boys
⇒ 3 men = 4 boys
∴ 15 men + 20 boys

= 15 ×4/3

boys+ 20 boys = 40 boys
According to the question,
60 boys × 20 = 40 boys

∴

x=\ {60×20}/{40}=30

days
