{√{8}-3}/{√{8}+3}=3 a √{8}-b

On Rationalising, we get,

{√{8}-3}/{√{8}+3}= {√{8}-3}/{√{8}+3}×{√{8}-3}/{√{8}-3}

= {8+9-6 √{8}}/{ 8-9}

Now, according to Question

6 √{8}-17=3 a √{8}-b

By comparing LHS and RHS, we get,
3a = 6 and b = 17
∴ a = 2
