Three numbers, which are co-prime to each other, are arranged in a manner such that the product of the first two is 286 and that of the last two is 770. What is the sum of all the three numbers?

Validate

Solution:

(4) Let three numbers be a, b and c.
Now, a × b = 286 and b × c = 770

∴{a× b}/{b× c}= {286}/{770} ⇒{a}/{c}= {13}/{35}

∴ a=13, b= {286}/{13}

=22

and

c=35

Sum = a + b + c = 13 + 22 + 35 = 70
