(b) Suppose B puts in x cows.
The ratio of (a)’sand B’s rents

= 1:1+1/2= 1: 3/2=2: 3

Then,

{100× 8}/{X× 2}=2/3

or,

X={100×8×3}/{2×2}= 600

cows.
