I f ₹5,000 becomes ₹5,700 in a year’s time, what will ₹7,000 become at the end of 5 years at the same rate of simple interest?

Solution:

Interest = 5700 – 5000 = ₹700
Rate

={700× 100}/{5000× 1}= 14%

Now Interest =

{7000 ×5 ×14}/100

= ₹4900Total amount

= 7000 + 4900 = ₹11900
