A householder deposited Rs. 1200 with a bank and after few years, received Rs. 1800 from the bank. If the bank pays 10% simple interest per annum, for how many years was the money kept in the bank ?

Solution:

(1) Interest = 1800 –1200 = 600
S.I.

={P × R ×T}/100

⇒ 600 ={1200 ×10×T}/100

∴T = 5 years
