All of them begin the work at the same time. Find out how much time they will take to finish the piece of work.

Solution:

2) (A + B)'s 1 hour's work is

2/9

(B + C)'s 1 hour's work is

1/3

and (C + A)'s 1 hour's work is

4/9

So, adding all the three, we get,

2(A +B+ C) =2/9+ 1/3+ 4/9

={2+3+4}/9=1

{(A+B+C)=1/2}
Therefore, A, B and C together will complete the work in 2 hours.
