seconds. What is the speed of the train in km/hr ?

Solution:

Let speed of train = x km/hr
Distance travelled by train = Relative speed of train × Time

100m=(x+5)km{/}hr×36/5\seconds

100/1000km=(x+5)×(36/5×1/3600)hrs

⇒x+5=50

∴x=45 km{/}hr
