4/9 can be written as (4 × 56)/(9 × 56) = 224/504
5/4 can be written as (5 × 126)/(4 × 126) = 630/504
3/8 can be written as (3 × 63)/(8 × 63) = 189/504
6/7 can be written as (6 × 72)/(7 × 72) = 432/504
∴ 3/8 is the smallest fraction
