Solution:

{3x}/{2y}=21/22

⇒x=7/11y

Now, 4x + 5y = 83

⇒4×7/11y+5y=83

⇒{28y+55y}/11=83

⇒{83y}/11=83⇒y=11

Then,

x=7/11y=7/11×11=7

Now,

(y-x)=11-7=4
