Let the incomes of Sunita and Dhawal be 6x and 7x respectively. Let the expenditures of Sunita and Dhawal be 4y and 3y respectively.
Then 6x - 4y = 2,800
or 3x - 2y = 1,400 ….(1)
and 7x - 3y = 2,800 ….(2)
Equating eq. (1) and (2) we get,
x = 280
Hence, income of Sunita is Rs 6x.
= Rs (6 × 280) = Rs 1,680
