Solution:

Matriculates

=40/100x=2/5x

Remaining

=x-2/5x=3/5x

Graduates

=50/100×3/5x=3/10x

Remaining

=3/5x-3/10x=3/10x

Now,

3/10x=180

⇒x={10×180}/3=600

∴ Graduates

={3×600}/10=180
