Solution:

Let his electric bill = Rs x
If we paid electric bill in time there is a rebate of 15%.
The rebate of on time payment = Rs 54
According to the statement,
x of 15% = 54

x×15/100=54

x=5400/15=\Rs. 360

∴ his electric bill is equal to Rs 360.
