Tina, Shiwani and Preeti started a business in the ratio of 1 : 3 : 5. After 3 months, Tina invested double than her initial investment. B invested half as before and C invested one- thirds of her initial investment. What is the ratio of their profits at the end of the year?

Solution:

Let their initial investments be Rs x, Rs 3x and Rs 5x, respectively.
So,

(x×3+2x×9):

(3x×3+3/2x×9):

(5x×3+5/3x×9)

=21x:45/2x:30x

=42 : 45 : 60

= 14 : 15 : 20
