Solution:

Let money of Kamlesh was used for x months;
Then, ratio of their capitals

= (1/3×9):(2/3×x) = 9 : 2x

The ratio of their profit

= 3/5:2/5 = 3 : 2

Hence,

9/{2x}=3/2

∴x={9×2}/{2×3}

= 3 months
