This question is based on finding HCF by continued division method. Now according to the condition of the problem,
Last divisor = 49
and Last quotient = 2
∴ dividend = 49 × 2 = 98
Now, divisor = 98 and quotient = 3 and remainder = 49
∴ dividend = 98 × 3 + 49 = 343
Now, divisor = 343, quotient = 17 and remainder = 98
∴ Dividend = 343 × 17 + 98 = 5829
Therefore, these numbers are 343 and 5829 .
