Let HCF be x.
The numbers are in the given ratio = 5 : 6
So, the numbers = 5x : 6x.
We know that,
Product of two numbers = Product of HCF and LCM

5x×6x=480×x

30x^2=480x

30x=480

x=16

So, HCF = 16.
