LCM and HCF Practice Test 1

The numbers that when divided by 5 leaves the remainder 3 are 8, 13, 18, 23, 28, 33 …… The smallest of these numbers which when divided by 11 leaves the remainder 6 is 28. So the general form to find the number = LCM of (5, 11) × a + 28.
If a = 1
Then the number = 55 × 1 + 28 = 83
If a = 2
Then the number = 138
So, 138 is the required least 3 digit number
