Solution:

Let the four consecutive numbers = x, x + 2, x +4, x + 6
Mean of these numbers = 15

{x+x+2+x+4+x+6}/4=15

4x=48

x=12

The second highest number

= (x + 4)

= 12 + 4 = 16
