Solution:

Let four consecutive even numbers are x, x + 2, x + 4 and x + 6.
Average of four numbers = 9

{x+x+2+x+4+x+6}/4=9

4x+12=36

4x=24

x=6

The largest number

= x + 6 = 6 + 6 = 12
