V. The age of E is 12 years.
With the given data what will be the difference in the ages of A and C?

Solution:

According to given information.
(I)

B=A/2

(II)

{B}=\;\;{3}/{2}{C}

(III)

D=C-12

(IV)

D=3/2E

(V)

E=42

From (IV)

D=3/2×12

D=18

From (III)

C=D+12

C=18+12

C=30

From (II)

B=3/2×30

B=45

From (I)

A=90

Difference in the ages of A and C

=90-30=60
