Gangetic River Dolphin is India's national acquatic animal. It is also called 'susu' due to the noise that it makes. They inhabit the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna and Karnaphuli-Sangu river system of Nepal, India and Bangladesh. They are placed under 'Endangered Category' in the IUCN Red list.
