Solution:

Let

∴ \;\; 8 x-5 y=12000

and

\;\; 5 x-3 y=10000

From Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get

x=14000

and

y=20000

∴

A's income

=8 x=8 × 14000=₹ 112000

B's income

=5 x=5 × 14000=₹ 70000

∴

Difference

=112000-70000=₹ 42000
