₹ 120 is divided among A, B and C such that A’s share is ₹ 20 more than B’s and ₹ 20 less than C’s. What is B’s share?

Solution:

Let, B’s share = ₹ x
A’s share

=x+20

C’s share

=x+40

A+B+C=120

x+20+x+x+40=3x=120–60=60

⇒x=60/3=20

B’s share = ₹ 20
