Solution:

(3) Time taken by A = 24 days
B is 20% less efficient than A
∴Time taken by B
=

{24 ×100} /80= 30

days
∴Time taken by C

=100/160 ×24 = 15

days
∴(B + C)’s 1 day’s work

=1/30+1/15={1+2}/30=3/30

=1/10

∴Required time = 10 days
