(d) Let father’s present age be x years and son’s present age be y years
According to the question,
(x + 6) = 3 (y+6)=>x-3y= 12   ...(i)
(x - 3) = 9 (y- 3) => x - 9y = - 24   ...(ii)
Solving (i) and (ii), we get
x= 30 and y= 6
Hence, father’s present age = 30 years
