Solution:

Let present age of elder person = x years and present age of younger person = y years

x-y = 10

...(i)
15 years ago,

x-15 = 2(y -15)

⇒ x -2y = -15

...(ii)
Solving (i) and (ii) then we get

x = 35, y = 25

Hence, present age of elder person = 35 years
