Solution:

Let the radius be x cm
∴ Height = 3x cm
∴ π ×

(\radius)^2

× height = Volume
⇒

{22}/7 × x^2

× 3x = 25872 [Since 1 litre = 1000 cc]
⇒

x^3

{25872×7}/{22×3}

= 2744
⇒ x =

{2744}^{1/3}

= 14 cm
⇒ Area of base =

{22}/7

× 14 × 14 = 646

cm^2
