Solution:

For a given circle of radius R, and an arc with central angle C,
Arc length

= 2πR × (C{/}360°)

Given, arc length = 16π and C = 240°

⇒ 16π = 2πR × (240°{/}360°)

⇒ R = 16 × 3{/}4 = 12

units
∴ The radius of the circle is 12 units
