Calculation:
Volume of cube $=9\times 9\times 9=729\mathit{c}{\mathit{m}}^3$
Volume of small cube $=729/27\mathit{c}{\mathit{m}}^3$
Let side of each small cube be x, then
${\mathit{x}}^3=729/27$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}=\sqrt[3]{27}$
$\Rightarrow \mathit{x}=3$
∴ Side of each small cube is 3 cm
