The series is based on followingpattern :
1.7+ 1.5 = 3.2
3.2- 0.5 = 2.7 2.7+ 1.5 = 4.2
4.2- 0.5 = 3.7 3.7+ 1.5 = 52
5.2- 0.5 = 4.7 4.7+ 1.5 = 6.2 Therefore, the number 5.2 will come in place of question mark (?) in the series
