Transfer of pollen grains from the anther of a flower to the stigma of the same flower is known as autogamy. Hence, it is self-pollination. In this, only one bisexual flower is involved. The stigma should be receptive at the time of pollen release. Stamens and carpels should mature at the same time. The stigma and anther should be located close to each other to allow self-pollination. It does not require any pollination agents.
