(4) The year 2016 was declared as the International Year of Pulses by the sixty eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly on December 20, 2013. The International Year of Pulses aims to heighten public awareness of the nutritional benefits of pulses as part of sustainable food production. UN declared 2019 as an “International year of Indigenous Languages”in order to raise awarness about these languages and promoting the importance of these languages in world’s rich heritage and cultural diversity.
