(*) Report of Tours in North and South Bihar, in 1880-81 by Sir Alexander Cunningham and H.B.W Garrick describe the Paligarh of Munda tradition in village Pali, to the northwest of Gaya. The place is related to the migratory tradition of the Mundas which represent them as a people wandering from one homeland to another. According to traditions,after the Aryan invasion,the Mundas migrated to Kalangjar, Garh Chitra, Garh Nagarwar, Garh Dharwar, Paligarh,Garh Pipra, Mandar Pahar,Bijnagarh, Hardinagarh,Laknougarh, Nandangarh, Rijgarh and Ruidasgarh. From Ruidasgarh they moved southward and after crossing Burumaghat,they arrived at Omedanda in Jharkhand. Best option: (3)
