Solution:

Present age of Rani = y year.
15 years before Rani’s age

=y–15

Hamid's age

=y–x

15 years before Hamid's age

=y–x–15

Now, According to question,

y-x-15=\;\;{1}/{4}(y-15)

⇒4y-4x-60=y-15

⇒4y-y-4x=-15+60

⇒3y-4x=45
