Solution:

Number of faces

= {\F}=5

Number of edges

=E=8

Number of vertices

= {\V}=5

So,

3 {\F}+2 {\E}-2 {\V}

⇒ 3(5)+2(8)+2(5)

⇒ 15+16-10

⇒ 21

∴

Required answer is

3 F+2 E-2 V=21
