with average speed of $30\mathrm{km}/\mathrm{hr}$, it takes $\mathrm{t}+\frac{36}{60}/\mathrm{hrs}$
Distance will be same in both the cases
$40\mathrm{t}=30\mathrm{t}+18$
$10\mathrm{t}=18$
$\mathrm{t}=\frac{18}{10}$
Distance
$=40\mathrm{t}=40\times 10=72\mathrm{km}$Answer is option A.
