Preparation, formulation and implication of Exim Policies are one of the main functions of (Directorate General of Foreign Trade)DGFT. A part from Exim Policy, DGFT is also responsible for issuing IEC ( Import Export Code). DGFT is the agency of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India responsible for administering laws regarding foreign trade and foreign investment in India.
