then the quadrant in which θ lies is

Solution:

Given :

\secθ+\tanθ=2/3

...(i)

⇒\secθ-\tanθ=3/2

...(ii)

[\sec^2θ-\tan^2θ=1]

From (i) and (ii) we get

\secθ=13/12

and

\tanθ=-5/12

secθ is positive and tanθ is negative in the fourth quadrant.
