Consider the function,
f(x)=[

2x+1	‌	‌ for ‌x∈[−1,0)
1	‌	‌ for ‌x=0
2x−1	‌	‌ for ‌x∈(0,1]

The function is strictly increasing in x∈(−1,0) and f(0−)→2
but f(0)=1
And in interval x∈(1,0) again it is strictly increasing but
f(0+)=0
So, the function is neither maximum nor minimum.
