For f(x) = 0
i.e. (x + 4) (x + 6) (x + 8)... (x + 98) = 0

-98=-4+(n-1)(-2)

⇒-98 = - 4 - 2 n + 2

⇒2n = 98⇒n = 48

=48/2=24
