Solution:

(a) Area after 1 fold =

{Area\ of\square}/2

Area after 2 fold =

{Area\ of \square}/4

Area after 3 fold =

{Area\ of\ square}/8

=\ {1}/{2} \× 10 × 10

=50 \ {cm}^{2}

\∴{\ { Area\ of\ square }}/{8}=50

Area of square

=400 \ {cm}^{2}
