Oxidising action of H2O2
The reaction is H2S+H2O2 = S + 2H2O
Oxidation state of oxygen in H2O2 is -1. It changes to -2 in H2O by gaining one electron .
So, H2O2 itself reduces and oxidises H2S.
Therefore, H2O2 is an oxidising agent.
