In activation energy for a simple chemical reaction A→B is Ea in forward direction. The activation energy for reverse reaction can be less than or more than Ea. The concept of activation energy gives an idea whether a given reaction is slow or fast at a given temperature. If the product is stable then activation energy for reverse reaction is more than Ea, but if the product is less stable then activation energy is less than Ea.
