Mass of block (m)=2kg
Friction coefficient between block and ground
µ=0.5
and g=10m∕s2
We know that
maximum possible friction force, Ffriction max =µmg
=0.5×2×10
=10N .......(i)
Maximum applied force (Fapplied max )=8×1
=8N ........(ii)
[∵ maximum value of sin‌θ is 1]
From equation (i) and (ii), we get
ffriction ‌max>fapplied max
So, the block will remain stationary.
