SAARC
It was founded in 1985 and have 8 members.
These are-
India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
It launched the South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA) in 2006.
ASEAN
Member nations are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
It was formed in 1967 and in 2006 ASEAN was given observer status by UNGA.
OPEC
Member countries are-
Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela Libya, UAE, Algeria, Nigeria, Gabon, Angola, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea and Congo.
It is an intergovernmental organization of 14 nations to coordinate and unify their petroleum policies and ensure the stabilization of oil markets.
EU
It is a political and economic union of 27 member states that are located primarily in Europe.
The United Kingdom withdrew from the European Union on 31 January 2020.
